Deathly Hallows film appearance[]

Why would Mrs. Granger even make an appearance in the film of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; she's only mentioned once in the book. -Parodist 17:23, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Twice, actually. Gruntijackal 18:30 (UTC)

Well that still doesn't explain why she would be physically portrayed. I suppose its just being added in. --Parodist 00:22, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Probably to be used as a flashback? Hermione modifying her parents memories and making them forget who they really are? ShirleyALuna Lovegood with Spectrespecs(The Quibbler) 00:30, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

1990-1991[]

Shouldn't it say that a faculty member from Hogwarts came to visit? As I understand it, muggle-borns have a teacher from Hogwarts come out and talk to the family. --JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 10:28, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Title: dentists aren't known as 'Doctor' in the UK, therefore this supposition is incorrect 92.5.97.88 02:01, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

No it isn't. You wouldn't say "doctor" instead of "dentist", but you would call your dentist "Dr. Williams" or "Dr. Jenkins". -- SaXon 16:04, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

Not in the 1990s you wouldn't. Traditionally surgeons (which dentists are considered) were referred to as "Mr" or "Mrs" due to qualifying via a Bachelors or Royal College licentiate degree, not a doctorate or medical degree. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shamrock Holmes (talkcontribs) 15:19, 20 May 2023 (UTC).

Consistency issue[]

Hermione Granger's father is referred to as "Dr. Granger" in the opening of his article, while here her mother is "Mrs. Granger, LDS". Unless there's a reason for it, the two should be consistent. So, which should be used? -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 04:16, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

Parents[]

Why must Mrs Granger's parents be desecndents of a squib? Why not Mr Granger? Muggle-borns are desecndents of squibs and the squib maybe her maternal or paternal aunt/uncle/great-grandparents or something. Anne B. Ng 03:13, May 4, 2014 (UTC)

Actually, the little evidence that we have from canon suggests that it is Mr Granger that has a Squib ancestor (from the Dagworth-Granger line)

Yaxley at Grangers’?[]

… as the Death Eater Yaxley later arrived there.

Where in the world is any quotation for this fact? Mcepl (talk) 16:48, January 11, 2020 (UTC)

I'm sure it's in one of the deleted tcenes of the DH 1 film.--Rodolphus (talk) 16:51, January 11, 2020 (UTC)

Oh, and since when deleted scenes are part of the canon? Mcepl (talk) 00:28, January 15, 2020 (UTC)
